A building was razed in Cicero, Illinois and, lo and behold, here was this ghost Studebaker sign
    and a bricked up doorway.

  8. Last week ed (edcodesign) did a nice sketch of my 34 Dodge delivery. This is one I just finished of his 32 Ford 5 window coupe. It has 38 Chevy hood side panels, 58 Chevy tail lights, Chrome reverse wheels, with W.W.s etc. It's a very cool deuce coupe. Ron... 20171109_222959.jpg

  9. I’m going to share the work in progress I’m doing for a fellow HAMB member and one fine fella!
First, however, I’m going to repost one from a couple years ago. I’m working on an update of it, readying it for prints...

This will be the new face of the revised version I’m creating for prints:

  16. Good morning. I did this sketch of Ed's 32 late last night. I notice a few mistakes. One the left headlight was behind the grill shell. I never notice this stuff until after I post. I just fixed them. I also added some light to the lighthouse. Thanks for the likes. RON... 20171110_021948.jpg

    Hello,

Gift giving is a year around sport, anywhere. Fancy store wrappings and add on tags are extras when you ask for gift wrapping. Some stores will throw in the extras with your purchases. But, when you need an extra special tag or box that is not available anywhere, you turn to your stack of “foldables” in all shapes and sizes.

Once the drawn “foldables” are saved as a jpeg, then your own modifications can be done on the various programs you have on your computer. If you like the sedan delivery photos, use them, if not, then use your own custom photos saved as a jpeg. If you are good at some Photoshop work, you can just add the car photo like it was floating on the surface of the design, instead of a normal rectangle shape.
    upload_2017-11-10_5-14-37.png

Color the sections any way you like. Delete the triangle if needed, or cut out the triangle for an “airy” look with a gift inside. (think Hot Wheels, etc. or a diamond ring !)The pink sections are the fold in and glue. The photos are placed where you want.

This “foldable” makes a multiple sided, modified, pyramid-triangle until you attach the other side, then it becomes an odd diamond shape. (or a weird box if that is your perspective) Enlarge or make smaller…the size is up to your ability to print on a page. Put on a bendable hook at the peak and now it can hang on a tree or desk lamp. Clear spray can be used to preserve the surfaces and photos.

I have used these different “foldables” with many different designs and photographs. But, each time it is for a different person. You can use any kind of paper, but the choice is yours. The finished design will print on most papers. Card stock is a little slick and folds like those take out food containers. The paper will print out your photographs if your printer is set up for high standard card stock.

or...you can use 20lb normal photo paper for these designs. If the backing of the paper is plain, that is better. For those that have powerful printers and can accommodate heavier weight paper, try the 28-lb or even the 32-lbs paper, matte or glossy.

    Happy Gift Giving Season...

No vintage Hot Rod this week (please delete if needed). Messing with a new render program to bring a little life to my "Loren Coupe". I imagine a big cube V-8 harnessed behind a single driver seat, poised to hunt down Shelby Cobras and stray Corvettes.
