Bluto, have you heard anything about Isky selling his T? We were talking about it on another thread. Hoping it doesn't get changed. Thanks, Joe

I heard some sad news this morning. Fellow Banger HAMBER "Just plain Bill" has passed on.

I have no way to verify it, but it comes from a reliable source.

    God Speed Bill!!!!!!!!

As some here know I call from time to time just to chat and catch-up.
Bill was one of those guys. I'm very happy to remember him the way we were AND the information and greetings we exchanged on the phone. Good night Bill

    Well a first for me...
I have a B engine that drops a cylinder from time to time and I've been chasing that. I finally pulled the intake/exhaust manifolds and side cover to see what I could see after ruling out carburation, ignition, etc. that and I'd get where I could hear a loud ticking noise when it dropped the cylinder The exhaust valve is hung in the guide right before it closes. The guide is moving up and down in the block freely enough that gravity will seal the valve against the seat. I can free the valve in the guide and the valve will close with spring pressure but it hangs up eventually again. I soaked the valve stem with Seafoam (on the advice from another banger buddy) to remove deposits, but to no avail. It just freed up the guide in the block even more. I got my camera and took some photos and there is galling on the valve stem. I guess it is going on to the next step, pull the head and valve....going to have to wait until after Thanksgiving.

  28. I didn't know "Just plain Bill", besides his comments on here - he made me chuckle more than once... my thoughts goes to those, who knew him better.

Can anyone help me with the drill pattern for the 9CF clutch pressure plate?
Just need my flywheel drilled, before I can send it off to be balanced, but I might have bought a warped one, as I can't seem to get it to fit any reasonable measurements.

Measure the bolt circle, count the bolt holes and look in a machinist handbook for the formula. Do NOT do this on a drill press, use a milling machine. Use an indicator to find the true diameter of the flywheel.

Must be some here that use a real pressure plate to replace that thing. I've seen old style pressure plates shed springs.... not fun!!
