Hot Rods Hey a new ride ! , my 1936 Ford 3 Window Coupe(interior completed !)

  1. door panel 2.jpg Well final have this home now, had been working on the deal for week . I had always missed my 35 Ford 5 window... So had my 51 Woodie up for sale or trade for a long time..
It's not perfect, buts it's 36 Ford 3 window.. I'm stoked to own it... needs some TLC for sure.. paint isn't great... needs a headliner still... need to fix some small stuff, driver side window regulator, and parking brake could use some help.. Really need new tires(Firestone Deluxe Champions black walls when funds permit check mark on the way !) The old Firestones are flat spotted from sitting .. Corvette 327, 39 Trans and Banjo third member.. 40 Ford bumpers front & rear... just fun a driver !

  4. Ford's best looking creation, in my humble opinion.

With one of Chevy's best powering it.

Nice!! What's the back story - new build? old build?
The only things that I would change would be the fan, distributor cap and nut on top of the air cleaner.
    Clean it up and enjoy!

So nice!-Love 3w's-I just picked up a '36 5w this week also! Do you know what the licence plate bracket is from?

  12. I've had a few Woodies, the market seems to have softened for them though.
    I like the Coupe.

Would love to have my butt in that seat!

  15. this car has a funny story. This was the last of few cool vintage Ford in a garage (30 years it sat).. The 85 year old guy was getting remarried ( yes really ). The new bride told him that all this old stuff had to go.. It was pretty stock , other that some later 50 's Ford rims and proverty caps(edit, those were used to move it .. had Chrysler Wires on it . It moved under it's own power after 30 years ( well long enough to get out of the garage) .. was built a few years back, body off the frame, all rewired, 327 Corvette SBC, Stewart Warner curved glass gauges, sweep tach.. Lincoln brakes.. need some TLC . needs new tires, and Stellings air cleaner.. Let the fun begin... It goes good ...

Winner. You, not the old guy who married poorly.

  17. Thought maybe it was a Hollywood accessory light... it's not... I'll ask the builder if he knows what manufacture is.. I may change it...

You were smart to get one you could "fix up" a bit at a time. Mine turned into a (so far) 6-year project.

    Nice car - congratulations!

Great car! I've always wanted a '36 3w myself, that one is just what I would hope to find. Congrats!

There’s way in Gods green earth would I sell that car to please a woman.
At 85 you’d think he was much wiser.

  24. I'm sure after selling his vintage Ford's ( had three , 3w coupes this was the last one in the garage) I'm sure they had a
great honeymoon trip.. Well maybe he was wiser , in a way.. enjoy life and some extra retirement money to boot... I'm sure at 85 it wasn't a deal breaker on getting married .
