Yeah I've gave consideration to yellow tinted, I think they'd help. Atleast in the pits or top end in the dark. Right now in the dark I've got tunnel vision. And no working headlights so when it's dark, it's DARK. Lol

I used to carry a flashlight in the car for the return road on certain tracks. Ware Shoals was one of the hardest tracks to see after dark. they didn't have any lights and after you turned back towards the pits the lights blinded you. Would open the door and shine the light on the edge of the pavement.

Gonna start a build thread on here if dads car once we start making progress with it.

Cool deal working with dad on a race car. I might need to think about heat in my shop. It is supposed to be 39 tonight in Florida.
    Work harder you stay warmer.

Supposed to be painting a 66 GTO convertible in the morning. I guess it will be afternoon before the paint goes on.
You could sure spot the Yankees here today . They are pastie white people in shorts, while us southerners are in long pants and jackets.

Here's a few pictures from the finals. I've had a blast this season racing and hanging out with the Southeast Gassers family. Can't wait to see what next season has in store.

I think his car backed out of the beams or something. Same thing happened to me in qualifying in the right lane.

How's the front end holding up to those big wheelies?

Seems to be doing fine, I run the stock frame and the truck springs and front axle, so it's all fairly heavy duty.

Not much has changed with my car, still beating on it. Ran the opener at Shady Side, battled fuel pump problems most of the day. Hoping to do better at Clay city May 5th. Also in big news I’ve decided to start my own chassis/racecar shop, hoping to get going here shortly on it, which is really exciting!

On the front bars that run from the firewall forward.
Did you mount them low for the look or is it just what worked out?

It’s kind of just what worked out. We went at the top of the straight away before the front down bars bend to attach it at the back and then run them out to the front. Further out the better they brace the front end. And it’s an axle car not a strut car, so running them straight out and then bending them like a modern strut car isn’t needed, and it doesn’t flex on that bend. Plus it just looks better low and out of the way like that. Most 60s cars didn’t have those braces so the lower and less obvious the better it looks IMO.

    Thank's Zak.
Guess I wasn't thinking of the straight axle front end even though it is staring in the face.

    Congrats on the business Zak!
Not sure if it takes more intestinal fortitude to do that or get married. Both were rough, lol. Hope it goes well for you!
