Welcome to the wonderful world of 1955-57 Pontiacs!
As you have probably already found out they are quite unique in the GM line up from those years.
    Looks GREAT!

Classy ride! Have you known about it for a long time or just happened to come upon it?

Great car, I always liked those slick Ponchos, especially that color combo.

  17. I once owned two 55 Pontiac hardtops. One was a star chief and the other a chieftian. Any road the 287's aint bad engines. I have always wanted to replace the small cube engine with a 1959 389. That would be a sleeper.

Nice! My first car was almost a 55 2dr Pontiac. Dad took me to Evans Auto Sales, Columbus, Ga. in 1966 to look at a white 55 Pontiac for $250. It would have only been 11 years old (I was 16). I remember the hubcaps laying in the back floorboard and chrome lug nut covers on the wheels. I was excited about getting it, but Mom didn't think I should have a car yet.

Side note: My first car ended up being a 1962 Mini, when Dad drove it home (I couldn't drive a standard yet), Mom says "That's cute!". Actually had 2 first cars, if that's possible. Dad's 63 Valiant as well as the Mini. In my garage now is a 67 Mini and a 63 Valiant (identical to first one except for color). Along with a few other classics.

Enjoy your 55, I am always watching out for just the right one.

I like the car, I really like the garage, and I truly hate that your child and family is having to deal with this God awful disease. I'm a retired healthcare worker (32 years X-Ray/CAT Scan Tech), and I wish you and your family, especially your youngest, the best. Where exactly is "Earl's Garage"? I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
