Bump for a good build thread

 

Well guys it's been a log time since I posted on here and since swade41 bumped this why not?

Like a lot of us life gets in the way and hot rods have to be put on the back burner for awhile.

But I'm happy to say I'm working on it again. The bad part is that I've moved and my new garage is not ready to work on a hot rod yet. So it's currently sitting in my dads shop 30 minutes away. A 1 hour round trip doesn't make it easy to get much done. But hopefully I'm going to be bringing it home soon. And it'll definitely be back on the road next year!!


Here's some pics of the 4" motor set back I started before I put it in storage. And the new stainless headers I'm working on now.

any updates? Super curious about the intake you built for the six carbs before the blower but a lot of the old photo are gone. Curious what you used for a base of for any photos of it with the carbs off now that you’ve got the blower on

 

I'm not sure if I have any of the old images anymore. But I can take some for you if you want.

I used a Dart single plane intake to start. I machined everything off of that basically leaving a valley cover.

I then built it up off of there. I made it a 2 piece set up and it bolts together through the existing manifold bolts.

 

Well guys I guess I should update where the truck has been for the last 3 years.........

I'm currently in the middle of the big "D" and the truck is on hold until everything is settled.

But it will definitely run again!!!!!

You are sure in luck!!! Hotrodprimer found the SIMPLE EASY FREE solution to getting your photos back right where they were.

VERY easy to do you just download it and presto changeo your photos are back. No need to do them one buy one.

From pages 1-8 they have gone crazy with a lot of computer gibberish showing and a few photos. starting at page nine they are ok.

 

Good luck with things Mat, I'm in the middle of a 15 yr split myself, keep yourself busy.

 

Is their any way to get the early pics back up on this thread?
