im looking at a 65 Fairlane, and need advice,,,,, What are these one yr Fairlane worth if in nice condition? It's black exterior, high perf 289 with a C-4 auto....center console orig with buckets. Not orig buckets btw.... I am a tri five guy 56 and 57 Chevy's....... Good classic to add to someone's collection?
They're worth between about $6K and $10K for a 'good' to 'excellent' car. The '64s are worth more, but they have the 'Thunderbolt' cachet to drawn on. Sold slightly less than the '64s too.
Sounds good to me for $6k then! Only thing I would do in the winter project is redo the seats, the exterior is nice, newer tires and exhaust.
I recently sold my '65 2 door hard top. Absolutely no rust or body filler ( I stripped it to bare metal) and I replaced everything. It had a bench seat, warmed over 351C and C4, front disc brake conversion and Tbolt hood. I feel like I gave the buyer a deal at $7500 but I didn't have any takers at a higher price.
Price/Value is as varied as Home Pricing. I sold my '62 Fairlane just about this time last year for $25k, to someone clear across the Country! I just sold my '07 Mustang GT Convertible, on par with performance, for $17k.
