not sure if you would consider this traditional enough. I built this 7-8 years ago using the Jag E-Type drive train, and rear suspension. There is a company out there that makes all the suspension parts that I used on this car.
Thank you the rebuttal, I like old models. But I like the workmanship on models better, no matter if it is HAMB friendly or not. KEEP BUILDING ON MY FRIENDS.
Sunday models, 10/22/17. Here's my work in progress. The guy who designed this must have been a sadist. You need three hands to build this and I'm sure no ten year old would find this fun. I bought the complete kit at a rummage sale for a dollar. I figured I could use the decals for something down the line, but I couldn't pass up the challenge of building it. I've got 28 pieces in the chassis alone and haven't added the others yet.

After a hiatus for a couple quick projects the '58 Ford is back on the bench for an interior to replace the much-too-shallow original. Basically it's an AMT '57 Fairlane 500 interior minus the side panels, which have been replaced with sheet styrene that I'll detail with trim and hardware later. I'm using a '58 T-bird console with '62 T-bird bucket seats. To match the front seats, the rolled and pleated sections from the '62 T-bird rear seat were fitted into the '57 Ford rear seat. The custom steering wheel is from AMT's '56 Fairlane kit.
Since I was a kid I've been impressed by the designs and "models" associated with the Fisher Body Craftsmen Guild. Talk about talent, Guild members were swimming in it. Thanks for the article.
Hey gang. I don’t seem to come around very much any more but I hope to change that a little. Since Photobucket was the way I generally uploaded my work, it it likely many will be lost once their new ‘third party’ upgrade takes effect. It stinks because I have been paying for a professional account for years and now that will go up to some 400 bucks a year. No thanks. So, I may photo bomb this thread with reposts some may or may not have seen before. I hope that’s cool with everyone. Watch, the HAMB will probably change formats again and we’ll go through this all again... Ha Ha! For now... what’s this thing that’s going on in the background of all my automotive art and storyboard work... Hmmmmm ...... As originally posted. Something possessed me to chop the roof off a coupe and test fit a Mustang roof. It fits. Well, was cut to fit. I bought the coupe for custom parts on a different project so it is a good donor for this project. After dropping the project for several uyears, I finally pulled the trigger on pie cut sectioning the body and get busy... A detail shots of the top cut Cutting and reusing the stock fire wall. It is also cut to fit the channeling of the chassis.
