  1. Well, it’s midnight in Sidney anyway... Going to get things started because I won’t be around much this week end. My daughter has an art exhibit in Lincoln, NE. anyone in the area who wants info, find me...

Back in my early days on the HAMB, we had a monthly theme/contest and this was one I entered for a “Chevy Pick Up” theme. They had to be HAMB friendly, pre-1964, traditional hot rod, custom or shop truck. Fom there, it was all on us...

    1956 Apache... my reject

try number 2, the one I selected to go with:

    56_Apache_v2_4web.jpg

    The final art:

and, just to add a little ‘color’ I throw this in too...

I had a photo ready to be posted today but I'm putting it off until next week. Instead, I'm posting
this piece Davkin (Dave) helped me with. Help me? He actually did it. He used his painting effect
to vastly improve an old photo of my '67 Nova and a friend's '66 Tempest. My thanks to Dave for this
    unique treatment.

  7. Yep, I’m pretty proud of her. She struggled with arthritis and tendinitis but keeps on slugging. Needs plenty of moral support. I dig the Gothic Grille on that roadster Ruben. Superlative work as usual and it is great to see ya back!!! I noticed you no longer use motor oil in your work, huh?
Killer start Bob, Gary, Steve_O and Davkins!

Not a hot rod or custom, just a nice slice of vintage Americana. I discovered a small black and white original photo print at an antique store and couldn't resist taking it home. I scanned it and played with it on the computer and this is the result.

    Hello,

A couple of years ago, we were sitting around with our granddaughter writing stories for Halloween. One story was a Werewolf story and had to have some kind of drawing. Mine was a modern Werewolf that was a hot rod fanatic. He loved sedan deliveries, so he called his vehicle, Wolf Wagon. It could not be detailed because we only had a certain amount of time to write and draw before the critique started.

Then a week later, she wanted to do another Halloween drawing that had to have "stickers" on it. She drew a great looking witch, my wife drew a bat with a hat, and of course, I drew a Hemi powered, Coffin Cruiser. They were called, “HOWLoweenie Rides.”

20171013_085526-1-1.jpg Here are 3 more I did more than 55 years ago. I'm sure they are not totally original as I must have been looking at pictures or sketches in the little mags. Happy Friday!

Not art, per se, but a lot of art work hidden in one small corner.[IMG]

Ed, that took me by surprise. It took me a second to realize "that's my car!". You may consider
that a doodle but, like Davkin's version, it's a whole lot better than what I had and both efforts are
    really appreciated. Thanks very much.
