  8. I used a 10 bolt out of a two wheel drive Chevy S10 with a Posie rear leaf spring kit in my 33 Chevy. Work well.

S10 4x4 rears are wider than 4x2s, ZR2 4x4s are wider still (and 8.5") you'll find whatever width you decide on, one out of a blazer will be cheaper and easier to find than a pickup one.

So I'm getting ready to order and have built a ford nine inch rear end for my 35 Chevy coupe, I believe 50 1/2 inter flange to flange is close to correct width, but don't want to make a mistake, any input on how to measure this ?

S10 rears are stronger than you might think. The 4.3 v6 was pretty peppy little engine in the late 80's and early 90's. I've got a S10 under my '34 Chevy coupe. I've also had two S10s with 4.3s.

  21. The S10s had a rear end with 7.625" ring gear and another with 8.5" ring gear. The codes in the glove box for the gear ratios are GU4 - 3.08, GU5 - 3.23, GU6 - 3.42, GT4 - 3.73, GT5 - 4.10 and HC4 - 4.56

  23. Yes some had disc but not sure what years. Believe it or not I got a lot of info searching on ebay. I bought mine local though because I got a better deal. Hope you find what you need.
