No one's posted Robert Williams' "Chrome, Smoke & Fire"? I've got it but it's stashed away.

 

This is the Robt. Williams album quick85 spoke of, double LP picture discs. I bought this when it was released in about 1988. There was also a companion collection of Biker music called Angel Dust with cover art by Savage Pencil, who first came to prominence during the English Punk explosion of the late 70's.

I bought Hot Rod Rally in the late 80's too, thrift store, swap meet, tag sale I don't remember.

 

For those of you who might be interested, the biker album EnglishJon mentioned above can be
heard on YouTube in it's entirety.

I'm kinda late to the party on this thread. But I just want'a say THANKS ! for all your post. I have most of these too.{I love Hot Rod Art} As a kid I would put them on, so they would just play over and over and over and over and over

I do have a few, some already posted but here's my short stack:
the recordings of actual hot rod sounds are my favorites

 

There's a whole wall of album covers at the Speedway Museum. In the early sixties, Petersen always had a booth at the major car shows pushing subs. If you bought a sub to HOT ROD, CAR CRAFT or R&C, you'd get a free Beach Boys, Jan & Jean, Safari's, Ventures, etc. album
