that's what my kids keep telling me.................

 

Yeah probably helps that I was born in the computer age.

 

I was born when we had an operator on the phone ( number was " 91-J " ) and the first TV I saw looked like an oscilloscope- gray and green picture. Then there was the 10 mile walk to school, after getting up at 4am to do chores........................

 

Anyway, today I bolted the rear fenders on and put the drag slicks back on. I also got a dashboard "Virgin Mary" yesterday at the Dragway swap meet. Can't be TOO careful!

 

We still have a rotary phone... and when I was a little kid we had an old black and white tv.. that was fun.

Btw your car is looking nice.

And I have an extra set of tail light bezels- 4 drinks at a time! ( Ronnie didn't mention fluid ounce capacity- off to the test lab)

Road testing time, in increments of 20 mph- so far all pieces accounted for and no reported deaths or too much collateral damage.

Couldn't decide on what to use for a gas pedal, so I made one- nice and simple, 1/2" rod through a shock bushing that was welded to a plate, 90* bend, and an arm for carb linkage. Eventually, the Bigfoot will go on that I got from Ray "onekoolkat"

 

and here she is ON THE ROAD- starts runs stops- what more could you ask for?
I still want to get one of my young friends to video this thing sooner or later!

Set of "Weiand" valve covers I scored the other day- had to have them! Also dug out a highly "patina'd" top for my air cleaner- FUNKY! Cleaned with a wire brush and clear coated.

 

That's it- out playing in the street with the green car. Hope you guys have enjoyed this as much as I have. Thanks again to all who participated in any way. Time for fine tuning now, and some work on the other car over the "off season".

Mike, I think those mufflers are BEGGING for a coat of VHT white, black or orange and some chrome turnouts!
