I'm proud to say it's cousin to my sedan... owned by Danny Burford of Dirty's Speed Shop. Danny and Rusty Burford are the ones who got my sedan on the road. The fenders are a recent bitchin' addition!
It was just a great weekend from the drive from Austin down to Chapel Hill and the Iron Eagle Trading Post and then onto Houston to hang with Team Jard and pick up about another 8-10 cars. By the time we left Houston we were at least 20 cars strong heading into Louisiana. Arriving in Lafayette is always a highlight as the city and friends are there waiting to roll out the red carpet. Beware there is not alot a sleep happening while in Louisiana, and whatever you do, don't try to keep up with the locals down there......you will lose that battle, I assure you. The music was some of the best yet ever and most of the cars were spot on and the food, holy shit the food down there is unequaled. Its just the best. Ryan is right, its as laid back a car show as you will ever see and and you will not get bored, hungry or want to hang out at the hotel. Thanks everyone for coming just falling into that lazy feel of the bayou. God, The Mystic Knights of the Sea were on fire. LouAnn Barton stole the show for me.
This shot alone right here: ...is better than anything I took all weekend. Your shots together represent the event as a whole WAY better than mine...
I remember it well when it was fenderless. I can't say I've seen it since the addition of the fenders, but it is spot on.
Ok, the show sounds and looks amazing, but the black 5 window is something I fantasize driving the wheels off! That looks like something I would never ever sell.
What an awesome weekend - thanks to everyone for coming out! And THANK YOU Ryan for joining us for the ride and always supporting the shows - your photos are so killer! Glad you enjoyed yourself.
