Getting close- still got a gremlin in the ignition system. Once we get her fired up, it'll go OUTSIDE for a final pictoral. I'm sure there will still be minor adjustments to make, but that's all part of the game.

I saw this the other day............................... LOL ( I love it! DSCN3534.JPG

Mike, looking good. I am learning a lot about the shakedown part of the building cars. Its a slow process, and you look like your winning.

I got the body in July of 2016. I worked on it whenever I could last summer and over the winter, but it's been pretty much a part time "busy work" kind of project. I've had my other coupe to drive, had the cold weather to deal with, and took time to play a lot ( ROG in June ate up some time and money, but was EXCELLANT !).
Still got lots of things to finish ; it's set up to get it running and finish "later" , which is an open ended concept! Once it's running OK, it may go "down the road" to finance some work on the '30 coupe which I think is a permanent resident. ( pictured in my favorite truck going to the body shop!)

BUT, I've always wanted a tail dragger, and a '33/34 5 window, and a nice comfortable Custom, and another old PU , and.................................................. 100% certifiable! HaHaHaHaHa Camera 2-20-09 019.jpg

Hooked up the gauges and tested the temp- can of water, map gas, and YES! It works! Vice grips hold the can, wire and bungee cords hold the wire, all hanging off the light................... DSCN3572.JPG

Sooooo, I've been chasing gremlins in the starting system ( half heartedly, I admit, BUMMED OUT by it!)
I finally called in my Buddy Joey Angers ( cammo hat) who used to have his own shop and is an ACE at figuring shit out.
My other friend Bob, ( white hat) who raced an altered at New England Dragway also showed up.
Joey dicked around for a few minutes, checked #1 at TDC , adjusted the points, and said" Get me some Brake Kleen and a piece of paper". (?)
He soaked the paper, and ran it through the points a couple of times and said"OK, try it".
That motor kicked over and blew shit all over the place! (Straight fender well headers only). Assembly oil on the points!!! WTF??
Runs like a freakin' BEAR!! I tried to take a movie of it with my camera, but it didn't download for some reason. I'll get one of my "young" friends with a fancy phone to help with that.
Gotta hook up the tranny, and a gas pedal, and take it out front to see what happens.
Sorry to be all over the place with this, but it is what it is!
Appreciate the comments and support during this whole thing. Hope its been interesting.
Getting close to the end now,
    WHAT'S NEXT?? HaHa DSCN3559.JPG

?? Do start and brakekleen rhyme in French?? ( lol)
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
He tried to start the cah ( Boston accent)
    but he just got pissed;
so he called in back-up to see what he'd missed
Joey cleaned the points, and it started with a roar
and blew 2 years worth of pin-ups all over the floor
Now they gotta figure how to make the damn thing stop
It's a clear cut case of the "Blitz-Kroil Bop"

    Eh, Oh, Let's Go!
I dig the Ramones, but I hate Cheryl Crow! DSCN3383.JPG

Well folks, the day we've all been waiting for has arrived. Today around noon, for the first time "The Creeper" was outside, under it's own power, and so far everything's working great. I drove it up and down the street in front of my house ( dead end, 1 house after me and he's freakin nuts).
I was so happy, on the return run I checked out the posi and have 2 new stripes in the road. I'll get some video on soon I hope!!
I owe a lot to people who held my hand and told me "it'll be allright" a couple of times when I was burnt out and hit the wall. Thanks to you guys ( and you know who you are) MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!
Thanks also to you HAMB guys who responded to the thread and helped me secure parts, offered advice, and gave words of support. The HAMB ROCKS!!

  25. Good job! Post some pics at least!

I dont know how to help you record the video as I don't know what you have, but to get it on here you upload it to youtube and copy the link and paste it here... pretty simple.
