The poor sales of the Corvette probably was a factor in the decision not to go forward with the line.

  5. I used to like gas stations, my grandfather ran a Chevron station for years.NOW they are just sleazy convenience stores, the attendant is usually a pissed at the world guy behind glass, hangout for derelicts wanting money , don't do ANY automotive work. Not very cool anymore!

  6. People once were very proud of their cars, their daily drivers.Cars had personality.NOW, like almost all aspects of modern life, that's down the tubes! Hard to be proud of a formless , slow, ill handling blob.Yeah I know, they are safer, blah blah blah. But they aren'(for the most part ) very interesting. My two cents.

Since we just had Harvey last week and now we have Irma and Jose coming, maybe a trip back to the 1938 Hurricane. (All photos off of the internet. None are mine.)

A picture from down-town New London, CT.

Apparently, tempting fate with rushing water is nothing new.

Not for sure but this could be Moffett Field in the bay area of California.

Yes, it appears to be the MCAF (Marine Corp Air Facility) in Tustin.
