Happy Birthday J, mine would be a 32 five window coupe, 37 engine with some tasty speed goodies. No fenders, unchopped, like the one my Dad had, and the firs car I ever rode in.
I've been very lucky to have found a ton of cool shit in the past few years, the only couple things I can think of that I want are one of those Tucker radios that I see on eBay every once in a while and a '34 Ford car grille in good enough shape to run as-is that doesn't cost as much as I have in the rest of the car. But what I really need is a big bank of free time. That'd be worth more to me than any new parts at the moment.
Smoothie Halibrands - got em. Grancor heads - got em. Kinmont brakes - got em. Pat Warren quickchange - got it. Old Ford sheetmetal - got it. Time to put it all together - number one thing missing on my list.
Columbia Rear End Early Model AA Underdrive Box McCoulough VS57 Supercharger (got it but it needs a rebuild) V12 Lincoln Flathead 28/29 Ford Pickup Cab ...a nice Mallory unit to spark up my 8ba would be nice too.
Hmmmmnnnnnnn le's see Mine is probably not as cool as everyone else's. A pair of Enderle Barn doors. A GM Mystery motor (the virtually non existent 427), I would actually be happy with enough parts to build a destroked 409. A Z-28 Off road cam A good 4 gear ( I would settle for a Saginaw LOL) Any race weight body up to and including a first gen Corvette. I doubt than anyone ever built one but a race weight A sedan would fit my current project to a T ( no pun intended). An older hot rodded or mild custom and not to bad abused '40 Ford coupe and a hot 394/B&M trannied olds. Got everything but the Ford. I would settle for a solid '51 Ford Victoria. a '46 Jail Bar pickup A pair of 8 wide ( or 7s) Ansen Sprints ( early not modern) I could expand my list but as you can see I am a '60s kid. LOL Edit damn it: Two pair of 327 Turbofire rocker covers so I can build myself a tall set to clear my valve train. Canted valves and roller rockers require a lot of room.
I have several things I would love to have and build. An OHV head on a Model B engine. A Model A quick change 30-31 roadster body and chassis for an AV8 project. Heads intake and other good parts for mercury flat head to go in AV8. 49-51 Merc project. 33 or 34 3 window project. Plus many other things.
A late 60s style fuel altered with 392 A 70s style fuel altered with a Donovan Ted Browns (RIP) T bucket Rich Guascos red Topolino (built by CARS) 53-55 Studebaker coupe And a shed big enough to fit them all in - shed to have polished white tile floor, great lighting and to look like a modern car dealership showroom (without the modern cars)
Rare speed parts or any kind for my recently acquired 1928 Chevrolet 4cyl motor.........also some Norden Hyper-Tension carbs or carb parts for my Chev II dirt track midget project.
Super stock cross ram and heads, and adjustable rocker arms for my 413, 6 deuce manifold and carbs for my 327, and a 383 stroker and an overdrive for my 65 c10
I already got enough stuff for this lifetime, but in the next one we get anything we want, right ? All I want is a 12 port GMC head, some Venolia slugs made in 1956, and a Howard roller & kit ...
To find my uncle's roadster......pretty sure it's still out there.....somewhere......covered up........
When I read the title I was going to say citizenship but I decided that wasn't appropriate so I won't go there. But I would like; a 327 for the Nova, a Muncie for the Nova, a posi for the Nova & a buyer for the Nova
A pair of Cragar GT breathers were on my list for a long time and I finally found them. They're up for sale at the moment only to help fund a once in a lifetime chance to buy something I've been looking for forever. Here's the link to the ad in case these were on anyone else's list: Gragar GT Breathers.
I got a 30x40 at the retirement villa. Thought it was pretty big then we started storing stuff in there. LOL
Read the postline here, and the first thing that came to mind was this week's political happenings; I won't go there however. MY personal wish list includes an OT forum rules car or two, getting my current project actually done (sleeper/bracket car), so I can get on to another (car trailer project), and assembling all these small bore/short stroke engines I have. We need another drag strip in Western Washington, and I'd really like to see that happen. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
If I'm honest, I'd like to have the 427 cobra motor that was in my F-100 before I bought it, second I'd like to either try and restore or sell my '49 Lincoln(turns out it was more than I could handle), last but by no means least, meeting Linda Vaughn would be nice. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
