One of these things is not like the other, but it is a sneak peek to Picture0320171743_1.jpg an upcoming project.

  6. Final painting, great stuff.
Now it's really starting to take shape.

  7. I love Hudson's and all but I would have given up already. Just don't think I could have taken it down so far and then built it back up. That's the main reason I sold my old 51 Pacemaker and bought the 51 Super Six I now have. The pacemaker was so Rusty I didn't even want to start on it. So I drove it for 10 years and then sold it.

Nice work indeed on this Hudson and my compliments to you for the patience and skill that you are applying to this project.

Educational build too, because most guys would not take it down to bare bones and build it back up.

Hope to get some warmer, dryer weather (don't we all once in awhile), so I can get down on the floor to finish installing the rockers, and to pull my parts car out of the field. I would like to start working on drivetrain, grill, and front bumper to help in the alignment of the body panels for final welding. Picture0301171743_1.jpg 1202141937.jpg

A little over three years, around 2000 hours, I am determined to save a car that is too far gone. Thanks to all Hambers for the inspiration. 0831130731.jpg Picture0531171923_1.jpg

And you did it with only "Old Fashioned" hand tools and hard work LOL.

  16. I found that when your sharing your work on the Hamb, all the encouragement you get sure is great inspiration.
A few words of encouragement from members goes a long way, although in this case, you were determined to save this ol Hudson, you have, and it's a joy to follow your progress.

  17. Just found your thread, fantastic save! I'll be following along to see this one finished and the next one, too.

Been lurking in the weeds on this one, but I got to say that's one hell of a job! Your dedication and workmanship is awesome!

This great! Just checked out your thread for the first time since fall--dang, you've moved along. Gotta love field saves. It took a lot of heart on your part to look at that broken pile and visualize this coming together.

Thanks for comment, I just follow the advice from numerous builders here on the HAMB and eat the elephant one bite at a time.

I was in a similar race against the weather last year. Managed to catch the last '70-degree day of the year to get it painted. Keep at it!

My goal is to paint both Hudsons this fall, I got an opportunity to buy a rare Hudson pickup, and couldn't say no. Picture0730171457_1.jpg
