Dumprat Go look at the Whiskey Runner that jimmy shine built for Billy Gibbons. It's a 33/4 on a 32 chassis Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
1933-'34 wheelbase = 112" ... 1932 chassis = 106"... maybe slide the rearend back, CEE the frame if it needs it... front crossmember and tranny mount forward just a tad...
Alchemy, It may not be a 32 frame complete, as I never saw a reveal under the rockers, but the front half from doors forward is duece Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Although I am not a fan of shines work, I could be a big fan of the brunette driving his truck. Anybody got and old pics of such a car? Thinking east coast style.
MYSELF AN MY BROTHER USED A FRAME FROM SAC DONNIE MC NEIL THAT WAS 32 RAILS FROM FIREWALL FORWARD 33 34 FROM THERE BACK FOR HIS 34 HIGH BOY SORRY I CANT FIND A PHOTO WILL POST ONE LATER
If I recall correctly I think the Whiskey Runner just has the front frame horns altered for the "32" look. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
If one were to simply drop a 33/33 on a 32 frame it would not fit. Grafting the relatively straight 32 frame horns onto a 33/34 frame would change the stance, raise the ride height, change the profile of the inner fenders and allow a 33/34 grill to fit even with the body being lowered and channeled.
A year ago when finishing up the fab work for my 32 frame to fit my altered 34 Tudor body I could have spouted off all the measurements of both a 32 and 33/34 frames. One of the areas where a 33/34 is using up the extra 6" in wheelbase is behind the B pillar. On all of the body types I would say you can tell in the lower front quarter panel reveal its longer than 32s. A 33/34 is actually shorter than a 32 up in the engine bay measuring from the front crossmember center line back to the trans or pedal mount on the center crossmembers by 2.5". A 33/34 frame is a 1/2"(44"vs43.5") wider than 32 at its widest and stays at 44" from that fat middle section all the way to the back where a 32 coke bottle back down by 4". Actually I have a set of 7 degree upswept 32 rails. So they are very close to the 34 contour. Sort plotting evil ideas for my next build. It certainly won't be a cookie cutter job that is for sure.
Keith Hill's Federale Coupe is a model 40 on a 32 chassis, albeit not a stock frame Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Maybe it's the shot, but I have thought this before about this car (maroon coupe)...the roof crown and general roof height looks enormous compared with the window opening.
This one is a hybrid 32/33-34 if I remember right Gene used 32 rails from just under the cowl area forward. Sent from my SM-G935V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
