I sincerely hope those parts are going to match in color, for you! I never had any luck getting any pearl or metallic to match painted separately.

  4. You GOTS ta be happy with it this time - everything is that colour!! :D
I think you got it this time 'cos it'll look even more bitchin' in the sunlight I'll bet!!!

  5. I have tried to compared the various part to each other in different light conditions and to my eye they all seem to be match pretty well. I was a concerned about that before I started painting because I remember you warning me about it before which is why I did all the front end parts at the same time and tried to have the cowl and the hood sides in a configuration where I could sort of continue spraying from one to the next in a continual pass each time. So hopefully when it's all together is will be all right.

The more I look at it the more I like it Dave! I am way happier than last year.

We finally got a day of relief from the forest fire smoke and had some sunshine so here are a couple of pics of some pieces outside in the sun. It really changes colour depending on the angle and light.

  8. Banged out most of the remaining parts tonight. I have a few little pieces to go now and I need to clear it all. 20170817_222644.jpg 20170817_222710.jpg 20170817_222659.jpg 20170817_222648.jpg

  9. Also trying to decide if I should bring some of the lime colour into the cab or just stick with the white and blue.

  10. Finished up the last few pieces.

And in case anyone was interested this is what I used to mix the colour. The gold powder was mixed in clear and then that mixture and the lime green colour were mixed together to get the final colour. Oh and all done in Lacquer.

  27. Slowly going back together. Lots of little things to make sure are buttoned up before moving on to the next step. Box should go on by the weekend. Have to make room in my garage to push my Merc back in before the snow flies. Ignore the OT topic stuff
