Hey Charlie. I knew that, but I just had to make some sought of smart comment?
    Here's a new cover.

Charlie's coupe seems to be the flavor of the day today.

Here's one that doesn't feature Charlie's 3W. But does feature a 3W all the same.

One advantage of being the editor/artistic design co-ordinator of The magazine Of The Mind publishing company is being able to be very self indulgent in the use of images. To this I make no apologies.

Here's a shot of Tony's roadster ( the Ex Kevin Delores channeled roadster from NZ ). Seen here parked in the driveway of Bruce McLaren's pop's garage in NZ.

It's great when you come across and old issue of Hot Rod magazine in a second hand book shop.

Yeab FB, it is a fine looking Corvette. I think Moriarty on the HAMB owns it.

I think if Charlie from the Dago Speed Shop was to build a '33 roadster it maybe similar to the one featured on this cover with his 3W.

This is a bit more subtle than most of my chop or not to chop covers.

I have about 8 blown up to poster size and they all look good. The difference from seeing them as a poster as opposed to viewing them on the computer screen is a mazing.
    Here's the first for today.

Spencer T gets all soughts of people dropping into the South West Speed shop. Recently a passer by told him of an old 5W hot rod.
Spencer T followed the lead and with some cash assistance from his little brother Jude they purchased the old gasser style hot rod. After a year or so in the shop, the boys completed a make over and have one very cool hot rod 5W.

I know it has been asked before but, what in the world does "The last Grasp Special" mean and what does it have to do with the magazine covers ( which I like by the way!).

Well Dave at the time when we wanted to come up with a name, we thought that maybe this would be the last hot rod we would build. So it may well have been our last grasp at such a build. How wrong we were. Tony has since bought a few other projects and I have bought a '32 3w. But they are all other stories that have been mentioned in this thread
In the five years or so that I have had this thread running we have done a lot more than work on the 'Grasp' ( as Tony calls it ). As well as some serious health issues and the very serious car accident Rita and Tony were involved in.
No we haven't worked on the 'Grasp ' in the last couple of years, but it is still there waiting in the wings.
As to what significance the covers have, well this thread has evolved into a thread not just about the 'Grasp', but has become way more general in terms of the stuff I do in my life ,as well as a number of friends here in Australia who contribute to the thread from time to time. The cover thing is just something that has taken my interest in the last year or so.
I make no apologies for the content on/in this thread. People can take it or leave it. It is entirely up to them. I guess many of them just leave it, when you consider the lack of written responses.
I just continue to add what I like to it, to keep the thread going.
Dave I am glad you like the covers.
