The original wood was rotted at the bottom, but there was enough on one to screw the bracket through one hole. We were able to index the rest of the missing wood and duplicate the mirror on the other side. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
The wood replacement takes time and patience but is lots easier on the Fords than the Chevy bodies. I used treated yellow pine on my 32 tudor. Thanks for sharing!

^^^^ Regarding the picture above.....I was always told to lower the upper blade guide down so it is positioned just slightly above the thickness of the board you are cutting. That way you might be able to cut off a finger or two, but at least it would be all but impossible to cut off your whole arm. That much open saw blade scares the crap out of me. The new wood looks great!

Awesome work guys! Working with wood is tricky...you kinda get one chance, not like metal where you can re weld.
