I had my doubts too. It's not perfect, but I'm happy it's back in one piece. Doors are coming really soon. Might have a couple other things I wanna do to the firewall area.

 

I swear I'm almost done with this part... I just need to stop looking for things to do. But I want it done. I don't want to keep coming back.

 

Tacked all ground (I found a few other spots I wanted to work on lol) Ok this side is done... again. For now
I gotta do a couple more little things... But then I'm gonna put the wheels back on and put it on the ground. I'm too excited to see how it looks sitting on the ground after taking out 4 inches!

Thank you. I know all of this gets hidden by fenders, inner fenders, hood... But why would I leave the original fender holes, when the fender won't mount there anymore after taking out 4 inches? And if I left em, I know I wouldn't be trying my hardest to learn and get better. At least now I'll now that under my fenders are no holes at all

 

Some day those areas will get painted to the same level of finish as the outside of the car, and you will know it was time well spent. Bob

Don't get carried away and fill those other 4 holes, remember they are for the hood hinges!!! Un less you decide to front hinge the hood. You could, you know you could. HaHa. Ralphie

 

love what your doing . I've done a 56 Chrysler 2 dr hdtp mild custom I know it's a lota work or play. your attention to the small stuff is impressive but. there's alway's a but you have a long way to go to a running driving custom. that small stuff doesn't put you on the road and it will burn you out. most of the finished cars with detail to everything have been worked over by more than one person

correct, but not everybody is the same. some guys get-r-done, some guys get the job finished, some guys burn out and never finish, there are even guys that don't care or plan to ever finish

You made fillers for two low spots, now that part of your cowl had three larger low spots to fill to get a totally smooth cowl. Sorry, OCD strikes again
