It´s a bit hard to read as they were well used before i started ( you can tell which hand is for the welding rod ) Right Hand: Fingers say "FLAT" in gothic print Von Dutch Eyeball Navarro 8BA Head like on my French Left Hand: Fingers say "HEAD" in gothic print Some weird pin striping (ok, not so great..) crazy is good! I don't need alcohol to be crazy .... I guess a lot of people would ask "what's YOUR thinking".. my thoughts is "Friday night art"..you might go down in HAMB history as the guy who started welding glove art. OR My other thought was maybe you should just get your hands professionally tattooed and then wear plain not decorated welding gloves to your office job???
I like it .I don't want any tattoos, so on the gloves are cool. We have an old man I see it the food store and all he wears are the farmer bibs. He is covered with them and with his old wrinkly skin they don't look so good any more. LOL. Bruce.

Lol !! yeah alcohol and tattoos don't mix. My brother and a buddy of his sitting around one evening in the field drinking beer, I get up the next morning and notice something on the rear end of my horse. I guess after enough beer they thought she needed a tramp stamp on her butt to make her more desirable to the male horses so 30 minutes and a sharpie marker she had one.
well, at least they didn't try to recreate " Vondutch" on your hotrod!....( you do have a hotrod and not just a horse right?!!

I always did bones on the tops of mine to ID em in the shop. Ever see good gloves walk away? At that shop they always did until I did that. "Hey, can you do mine?" several times. Most didn't understand that it would sort of defeat the purpose.
i would have called it a tribute but you might have a point here.. So I'll take the pic down - sorry guys! got some thick and fine pens today so will do my second pair of gloves will post them when ready. Edit: Covered up the tribute part (a pity as i like this best) so you still get an idea - ok HRP?
Yup. Certainly is. I post proof of things that people don't want to admit existed, and was copied by many over the subsequent years (you know, tradition), and it gets deleted in a heartbeat, and I get accused of trying to edit history. Decorate your welding gloves, post a picture of your airplane, or post a whole thread of pin-up girls, and that flies just fine.
I'm pretty sure Ken Howard's family sold the "Von Dutch" name, where it's now a licensed brand for clothing, etc.
