Loudbang if there was a way back machine I may be tempted to go back to 1967 and buy a new L88.

This new L88 should be differentiated from the "new" L88s that have been made in recent years. I believe the red 67 L88 sold a few years ago at Barrett Jackson for over 3.5 million, so they are certainly out of my budget.

 

You got that right even being a die hard Ford fan. BUT my only concern in my dotage is NO A/C available with the L-88 option.

 

Are you going to be taking your Vette to the Meltdown this weekend? If you are and get a minute look me up I will be in the swap meet selling old car magazines from the 50s 60s and early 70s

 

Taking my black 62 so I will try and look you up. You will find out that the Meltdown can get addicting. This will be my 5th year going.

 

Awesome I will be in my 2009 Silverado it is white with a camper shell on the back of it.

 

Quick 85 I agree on the scoop but you had better tread lightly as the wheel police may tell you those wheels have got to go.

Not a numbers matching restoration but a REAL air box car. I paid for a ride at a charity event a few years ago.

 

Quick 85 did not mean to have you pull the pic. I liked it but there are guys on here that give some wheels grief. Look at the grief with El's wheels.

Doug numbers matching is nothing more than terminology to increase value IMO. An airbox or tanker or big brake would definitely get a spot in my barn. Cool you got a ride.

 

I understand completely. Every now and then there seems to be a thread where we can be a little looser with the rules and this seems like one of those. Still, why give someone a chance to bitch? I had a couple of other good shots, one from Indy and one from Great Lakes Dragaway, that I wanted to post but I'm learning my lesson.
