Found this hood bird in my late husband's collection. He was a Chevrolet man, and I'm pretty sure this isn't Chevy.
Possibly Oldsmobile? Is it worth anything as a guy has expressed interest in buying it. I attached two different pics.
Appreciate any help you guys or ladies can give me.

Looks like a 1950 Olds Rocket

Definitely Olds. I'm sure someone can pin down the year. EDIT: Google confirms 1950, as Davyj said. Took more than 10 minutes. We're slipping, guys.

Thanks for your help. Now, as I said a guy is interested in it. It's actually pretty nice, minimal pitting, but how do I find out what it's worth? As my husband used to laughingly say it's worth what someone is willing to give. We dealt with '60's era Chevy stuff for 40 years and I don't know anything about Olds stuff. Will so appreciate your help.

To me it's worth $25 just 'cause it's cool. But I'm not an Olds guy--at least, not yet. A search of eBay completed sales shows them selling around $60-$80. The crazy buy-it-now people ask a lot more. Ignore those people.

After you identified it for me, I looked on eBay. One for $180 and it was in terrible condition. Thank you for all your help!
