My ex (high school sweetheart) sent me these via a text the other day. She was going through junk and happened upon a couple of sketches I did for her when we were in high school 40 years ago. Though they aren't cars I thought I would share with you. To say the least they are not current, surprised they lasted this long. I don't recall having an attraction to a Honda powered, hard tail, mag wheeled chopper as a kid, but evidently I did, even wrote her name on the tank.

This one is hard to see as the paper is getting old and it wasn't dark to begin with, just a sketch. I used to get bored easy in class and doodle these things up all of the time.

I must have been experimenting with signatures too. Hah, "the Max" I think I was heavily influenced at the time by "the Beard" a local van painter in the day. The Harley is pretty detailed for a guy that hadn't ridden one yet. Frame tubing looks a little skinny and some of the proportions are off. My brother rode a Sturgis back then so I imagine that is where my motor company fascination got it's legs.

Hope you liked my blast from the past. Happy Friday!

Not entirely sure if this on on topic but I think bridges and Model T's are so here is a couple that I've worked on this week. The first picture is my depiction of Cedar Bridge, one of the Bridges of Madison County, close to Winterset, Iowa. Unfortunately arsonists struck again and burned it for a second time earlier this year. The second bridge picture is Roseman Bridge.

Ron posted almost the exact same pic a month or two ago (crap, maybe my wife is right about how much time I spend on here) anyway, that is Hollywood, Sandy Blvd in Portland, Oregon. I know that scene, why is it in the Smithsonian? DDDenny? Freakin out here.

Yeah I'm talking to you. Doesn't that street scene at the Smithsonian look like Stumptown?
