  3. ... and since I stayed within the lines with those drawings and to show good faith to fellow
contributor jnaki, a veteran hot rodder, surfer and generally good guy... I share a teaser from a recently completed commission. It is as off topic as it comes... ;) This crop is all for now as I want the client to see the full rendering in person before I go showing it off all over the Web...

    Hello,

Going back in time is a fun project. It has been a historical timeline from my whimsical art notebook. I still used my notebook, but, with the advent of mouse pointers/computers, the art became a little easier to quickly add in colors and changes for me.

Once that a design was put in place, any amount of fine color, pin point detailing or other shapes could be placed on it with a simple click.

My favorite form of pastime got a little more creative and colorful:

Now, time was spent drawing with a mouse on the pad instead of using an actual drawing pad like in the old days. Copying any outlined vehicle was as simple as a copy and paste with the newly found internet.

I was still able to draw flames on a note pad, drawing pad, notebook or any paper while listening to lectures. (Just like in high school...) During my spare time, it was a challenge to get the active mouse pointer to draw the outline of flames. (this was before the original expensive Wacom pen.) With the mouse and computer, the shading and multiple colors were just a click away.

This era was before Photoshop or any modern drawing, high dollar, computer program. It was a basic, simple, painting program that allowed anyone to cut and paste, and fill. In actuality, the basic program left a lot to be desired, as the minute fill process took a long time to add in the full color.
