Ed Prout The plaything. Boss Ford power. Ed was a wild and crazy guy bought junkyard short blocks and put good heads on them in his Ford dragster. He was also CHEAP he used to take my one week old spark plugs ( I got new plugs every week from my dealership free) and use them over and over.

He is also a genius on ford FE engines I learned A LOT from him.

Not unusually large just looks like it with that intake and what appears to be one of Pete Robinsons/George Montgomerys' "trimmed" style blower cases.

  7. Besides it is a rare 1960 Chrysler town and country, the plate designates it as a personal car of the danish royal family. Cool shot, Bomb, keep on with the good stuff!

The lane on the left accurately describes the Gulf Freeway; I'd rather get my ass beat with a broken axe handle than drive that road. It takes over an hour to go from Cypress to NASA, smh.

Stan Starr and Stan Starr Jr of Nashville Tn. preparing their car for the 1961 Daytona modified race . Picture from The Nashville Tennessean paper January 1961. This picture and many others can be found on Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway history site hosted by Steve Cavanugh.

  11. V-4, 20 liter. Front wheel drive (the first one they say). Designed by Christie - the guy who invented tank track suspension - that the US Army didn't want, so he sold the technology to the Axis powers - before they would be known as "Axis Powers".

Now think about that: 4 cylinders - each one with the same displacement as a small block Chevy.

Wow, you can actually see the car move from the waves ... probably just a shell ... otherwise one ruined '65 ... of course I'm sure it was of no consequence to GM... lol

  15. I'll bet there isn't much left of that Chevrolet today, no matter where it is.

During the process of setting up the assembly line for production, several cars are built that cannot be sold for various reasons. These are used for advertising, testing, and are usually destroyed.

Actually 1904. This is the Bexhill Speed Trials which were first held in 1902. That is a White steam car on the right, a model that did not exist in 1902.
