The 1985 TPI 350 Is a little off topic here, when it was installed it was the latest and greatest. It's a bit dated now, but still runs great. It had a 365hp 327 before that.

Scotty as much as I am a huge fan of both the 283/270 and the 327/365 I am sure the car with its present engine still puts a smile on your face, especially with a car that you have been around since your youth.

Very cool Scotty I like the color and the car now. That vintage picture is the best and I am glad that it's yours.

  8. It does make me smile! Fortunately Dad is still kicking he just can't drive it any more. I would like to recreate the version with the 365hp he thinks it's a good idea, I've got most of the parts.

Vancouver WA, or Vancouver BC? I'm guessing WA.

Do you know if it was from a '64 or a '65?

  17. This thread is great, I'm so tired of perfectly restored usually fake numbers matching old vettes. There's nothing cooler than a modified early vette!

I agree Scotty. I would not walk down to the end of my driveway to see the silly numbers matching early Corvettes (except for a big brake fuelie maybe). I generally avoid the restored numbers matching types at shows. For me there is nothing to see that I have not seen many times over.

Doyle Fletcher drove and maintained this 64 corvette for 3 years for Ferrill Chevy-Olds out of Decatur, Texas. Wayne Calvert Racing Engines out of Denton, Texas did all the machine work on the engine. I held the ET and MPH records.
