IMHO, highboys with skinnys on all 4 corners do not look proportional. Big and littles are the way to go. Eastwood and Barakat is a good example of how to do it.

What struck me with that one was the radiator set in front of the cross member to make room for the Olds, that seems to work well in that case, leaving the wheel base alone and just setting the radiator forward. It would make a hood look strange though, if they were to install one, but I like an open engine bay on early Fords (too few of them in this group IMO).

 

And lots of engine shots, some people forget them

Looks like more cars at So. Cal. then at the LA. Roadster Show. Thanks for posting the great pics....

 

I really dig this car! It really stands out in contrast to the highly finished cars, done so well, yet understated.

 

One of the best things about these shows, for me, is to see how other's have done things, to get ideas, and to capture them so I can refer back to them later. I just want to share the info.

I'll be honest, I see a lot of things later on when reviewing the pics that I didn't pick up on at the time. Sometimes it's just sensory overload, it's hard to notice everything. That's another reason I shoot a lot of pics.
