    Stencil of outside of LH frame rail, October 22 1945 (?) and Olds. I can't locate anything else on these markings.

    Rear of speedo.

    A bit of history, Oldsmobile ceased auto production from 1942 (February 3,1942) until 1945 (October 15, 1945) in order to manufacture material during World War II;
    • War in Europe ended on 8 May 1945;
    • 1st atomic bomb was dropped on 6 August 1945;
    • Japan surrendered on 14 August 1945;
    • Post WW2 Oldsmobile production commenced on 15 October 1945; and
    • United Auto Worker's (UAW) strike prevented Oldsmobile production from 21st November 1945 to 1st April 1946.
    My car is serial #713 and Illinois built. It is one of only 3,498 units produced between 15th October 1945 and 21st November 1945.
