Interesting tail light treatment on this '54. What are those?

 

Any info on this car? It reminds me of one formerly owned by a local guy here in Minnesota, was named "the Ruby Slipper". Does that ring a bell to anyone?

I was wrong. Doug's is a '49, different rear quarters. One piece windshield, no beltline trim....
I knew it had been painted yellow, my mistake. Here's his old car:

So many cool cars there. If you can't find something in 9 pages of pictures that blows your socks off....you must be walking around barefoot! Hopefully I can find time next year to make the scene with the Merc.
