Technical Extremely neat wiring.......and a question

Saw this under the seat in a 1940 Ford pickup at Goodguys Rhienbeck, clueless what it is all about, but it looked neat. Can anyone guess what it is all about? Bob

 

Someone will post "flux capacitor", I just know it.

Yellow hot.Green ground.Clean work.

 

If the fuse holders are being used for their common purpose, it's a power supply for some big amplifiers.

But who knows....proper electrical installations have labels.

heh...mine is kind of neatly wired, not quite that neat, but also no where near as many wires...point ignition, mechanical gauges, etc. don't take many wires. But it does have working lights, turn signals, and horn.

 

Green for a ground? Maybe in a high voltage AC circuit. Black for ground in a 12 volt DC circuit. Just sayin.

Flathead powered? Looking at the wiring there is a small thermo nuclear power plant under the seat powering a highly efficient electric motor hidden in the hollowed dive valve block

Lol now my stomach hurts. Back on topic I think there is acctually 3 flux capacitors. They couldn't have done that with just 1, or 2 for that matter.

 

With every electrical question I ask, I know less Bob

 

Coming from a competition car audio back ground this is tame.
Having a large ANL style fuse on your main line, feeding an individually fused distribution block is common practice.
Usually the main fuse is within a foot of The battery, as it's intended purpose is to protect The wire.
The green wires are just a distobution block for a common ground point. (usually to eliminate ground loop noises)

yup, just normal stuff for the car stereo guys. Quite of of place in a traditional hot rod, though.

Funny thing is, we used to use those big fuse blocks on the high school robots, for the power distribution system. Until someone started making a dedicated power distribution panel.
