Jive-Bomber submitted a new blog post: More 50s Car Show Footage... Continue reading the Original Blog Post
Here is a Picture of Ina Mae Overman's Lincoln in it's original custom form. Before it was re- done and had the rear wheel openings radiused. I believe that the car is for sale still. Torchie
Valley Custom did the rear wheel openings when they redid the car in 1954! And then there is the later version with headlights extended out over bumper:
Current Condition I believe. Very well documented Valley Custom. Had I the means. I would own it in a heart beat. Picture courtesy of the Custom Car Chronicle Torchie
As I recall the 4 "gizmos" are 52 Ford? back up light bezels. Great 3 part story on the history of this car courtesy of Rik Hovings Custom Car Chronicle. Torchie http://www.customcarchronicle.com/cc-builders/valley-custom-shop-cc-b/overman-lincoln-one/
Terrific little film clip there. Love it when early Hot Rod and Custom film surfaces. Can anyone I.D. the (LA area?) High School?
@Torchie - I believe you are correct: The H.A.M.B. Marketplace > Classifieds > Cars For Sale: Valley Custom Shop "Ina Overman Lincoln"
I saw that classified listing as well but didn't know if it was still for sale since the last "bump" was over a year ago.
I would love to oversee the restoration of this car, but the last asking price that I saw was not realistic, despite the provenance. Phil
