  7. Feel free to post up any pics that you might have taken. This photo by Dino 64 was one sweet Model A. Certainly one of my favorites at the event. The Helmuth Brother's Coupe. a0c2c8ce2037163d841bb4f9e3c4b35f.jpg

So I took a bunch of pictures at the Showdown, get home, try to load them and the camera says I need to reformat the memory card. I go to the next step and it says I will lose the pictures, so I didn't do anything further. Need to figure out how to save them, so all I can post at this point is this one phone picture I sent to my wife showing I made it there. Had a great time as usual. IMG_2248.JPG

  19. ...................No doubt! It looked even better in person than I could have imagined. Great job he did with it.

  20. ............................He told us that the nephew noticed a cracked fuel pump in the morning just before they were about to set out for the Showdown. Too bad as I was hoping to see the new "A" in person. Oh well, next time.:)

Once again had an absolute blast at the show and couldn't believe I was there with my car. Kind of a surreal feeling actually having a car with me after all these years. I ended up shooting 1 roll of film so Im going to get that developed ASAP and will post up the shots.

Crap I always forget about this one till I start seeing the pics. Once I get my project on the road I will definitely have to make the trip. In the meantime looking forward to all the pics.

  25. Two great moments for me. The A made it up and back for a 140 mile round trip (first "long" one) with no hiccups and nothing fell off that I saw or heard. Two: I made it in Dino's pics! I was the only one who ever took and showed pics of the '35, so this made my day! Bit chilly the way the wind curls over the windshield into the back of your neck, the JS beanie I bought made it better on the ride home (along with the heater and seat heaters) :)

I had a blast this weekend!! My first long trip in my coupe since building it and first time on the track.

Larry sure knows how to put on a great show, I am not a car show type and rarely go to car shows but I have been driving something to the jalopy showdown for the past decade!!!

  28. I just wanted to say, I really enjoyed meeting some of you at the jalopy showdown. A perfect weekend. I didn't hang around the delivery or banner very much. So if I missed you this time, sorry. And thanks for all your photo's. As I saved my phone charge for the Doppler radar. Lol Ron... 20170519_112527.jpg
