Just got home. It was a nice ride, good scenery too. Kinda cold & wet, looks like I still need to work on sealing my windshield. Glad to be in a closed car with heat.

Thanks to all that came out and ran in the rain with us..... forecast of rain = 100%

55 cars ranging from beaters to top quality hot rods show up for a 100 mile run instead of sitting home wishing..... it was great day even with the rain.

THANKS TO ALL THAT CAME OUT!!!

CM Club Pick..... we'll deserved if it was dry. Even more so considering.

X2 Yes it was cold and wet, but was still a great time! Met some great people and hopefully made some new friends. From the host hotel, the meet and greet, ( Unshined 2 and Max Gearhead have some cool stuff ) the cruise and everybody involved made for a great day.

I was at a wedding also, my son's. I felt bad because I started this thread and a couple months before it happens, JR. tells me he's getting hitched...on May 20. I will be there next year for sure. I guess the question for ya'll is this...is May 20 a good day usually? Was this a freak deal or do we need to shift the date?

Thanks to the Cross Members & all the organizers of this fun event! It may have been a little soggy, but we've been wet before! :)

It was great seeing old friends & meeting new ones. The people and the journey are what this hobby is all about.

Thank you Cross Members for the club pick also, we're honored to receive it.

  17. After Neil, Clay, and we're talking at the end of the run we are thinking redo on the hole thing. This weekend is my birthday weekend so I remember them well and it's normally a great weekend. And I want to do it with dry roads and sunshine.

I just got back home to Minnesota from the 100. A great time, a little rain wont hurt. My buddy John drove in a topless roadster all the way from Racine WI!! Thanks CrossMembers club for a super weekend. Even a little rain is more fun than sitting at home getting old!!

    Here's your hosts..... 20170520_134229.jpg
After the fun, we headed 250 miles east thru the driving rain to Milwaukee, got up to a beautiful morning and checked out the Harley Davidson Museum 20170521_091141.jpg 20170521_091154.jpg

Then a quick 400 miles home and that concluded a great weekend hanging out with my dad, and helping out with the first annual WI-HRH. Saw some cool cars, some crappy weather and some real hot rodders that drive because thats what cars are for..... can't say thanks enough to everyone that came out.

  27. It was great to see you and Jim again and check in on the progress in the shop, I only wish I could have made it on Saturday instead of just Friday afternoon. The 34 is looking good with your mad skills and Jim's design vision and the collective fabrication, I'm sure it's gonna be a winner. Don't forget I want to be there for the chop. The 59 is looking great and I bet will be on the road for next year, if it is maybe Jim will let me drive the 58 next year.......... or maybe my 32 sedan ( positive thinking ) ;)
