    Had a '61 Ventura just like this one. Great ride. Dicey "slim-jim"automatic transmission.

    Rootie, also notice that there is no Meyer-Drake/Offenhauser Serial Number plate on the cam boxes. That's because there was nothing standard about Moore's front drive engines and they weren't factory built or assigned numbers. He had his own blocks made to his specifications by Meyer Drake. Goosen did the drawings. He personally built his own special Offys and the story goes that no one else ever took one apart. The engines in Moore's Blue Crown front drives were not standard 270s.
