I imagine so. I should have written, "Wonder if their name had anything to do with Kings Rd?"

Can someone please I.D. the grey & white panel truck for me. Can anyone guess what the occasion was? It was a big event in a small town in 1957!

For any The Doors fans, like me, here an awesome video of L.A. Woman, mixed with Bullitt, Vanishing Point and footage of Jim in his Mustang.

  5. 1954 Chevrolet station wagon. Looks like the folks are going into that covered area to view the town's new fire engine....

My older brother had a green 54 wagon just like this in the early 60's. I was young and that car felt like being in a cave.

The station wagon appears to be a 1954 Chevrolet. The event is the unloading of a new fire truck for the city. It appears the the best unloading site was the local lumber yard's siding. Best guess is that it is an American LaFrance, built in Elmira , New York and shipped initially on the Erie Railroad in 40 or 50 foot end door automobile boxcars. That's the way American LaFrance delivered them.

Who's idea was it to include that last scene of the Corvair going part-way up the banking and then rolling back down?

Am I the only one that thinks that Buford looks chopped with the rear window layed flat.
I'm sure it's just the water distorting the photo.
