    As others have said, I too can relate to this. Early 70's, gas and oil prices going up, Dad gets two wood stoves. We've got plenty of land and trees, three teenage boys to cut and split. I'm the middle one, guess who did most of the helping lug and splitting.

    This picture of the airplane filling station was posted a few pages back by 1935 streetrod , it is located in Knoxville Tn on Hwy 25 w and still exist. Built in 1929 or 1930 depending on your source of information. Not sure when it stopped being used as a station but I know it sat vacant for decades. A group of locals raised funds and restored it as near as possible to original condition.
