Man great work Pete. I have not been getting notifications on this thread. I thought maybe you were working so hard you had not posting.

Don't think so, between the busy season at work and building a complete car...doesn't leave much time for other events.
Picked up this very nice edmunds intake at the swap meet today. Guy said it's been hanging in his shop for the part 40 years.
Also got this nice pair of blasted and painted 46-7-8 front backing plates with new shoes and good wheel cylinders.
Looks identical to mine, nice and early, good score. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Had the day off so I hung out in the shop. One of my issues was I'm using a '34 rear and wanted to run 40's steelies. There's several issues because the drums accept wire wheels and the spacers that are available didn't seem to cover the space where the lug nuts get torqued down on...kind of a bridge between the stud and cast pedistals. So I put the drums on my rotary table than on my milling machine and removed the pedistals than shaved the contact area down so that the rim sits flush.
Awesome! I get that Prince song from this scene stuck in my head all the time. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Haha... My father in law is a machinist and he has triplets of everything. The rotary table is probably one of the best tools ever.
Great job on the coupe Pete, it's amazing the time that goes into a project to get them up and running and make everything work. Hope you kick ass at TROG and fun. We won't be going this year cause haven't had time to build a new car. Hopefully next year
Thanks dude, appreciate that. Im exited to tear this entire car apart after the race for the real build. I half assed a lot of shit to make the dead line. I hope you guys build another car and come next year...you boys always bring some good tin.
First official rip up and down the driveway! Went pretty good, still have to dial a few things in but overall she went decent.
