I found that out the easy way LOL. I snapped a belt right at the green and made the run with no fan belt on my cobrajet and picked up TWO TENTHS for free.

That is why there was a rule in NHRA that all belts had to be TIGHT as the junior stockers were running them just tight enough to stay on. They made a hell of a racket but FASTER.

What's the first 20 years? That is how long it takes until Scott can make a complete pass in his Mustang...HA-HA!

Seriously, it is an event at Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, WI that the Meltdown Drags Association (guys behind the Meltdown) are going to organize a group of Meltdown approved cars to be a show within the event.

It is not going to be anything like the Meltdown and we aren't running it, we are just gonna have some fun. We have about 100 cars that are going to participate and just going to put on a good show for the fans.

    Come join us...

Jeff I thought you might have been the secret buyer of Scotts mustang and making room. Since you guys have such a bromance going and admire the car so much and could actually get it past the 60ft mark lol.

Hey now... my car has been enough work to get through all of the bugs... if I bought that mustang I would have to start all over.

The bromance is starting to feel one sided... Scott seems to be mia... just like his spring perches!

took the advice of cleaning up the engine bay with alittle matt black paint and i think it looks really clean now, got the windshield wiper arms removed and moved the rpm gauge to the dash.

My uncle and I did an engine swap in his 66 Chevelle a little less than 2 years ago and did a quick engine bay clean up and some touch up painting and it made a big difference. Definitely worth a little time and effort!

Is a rpm gauge the same as what I call a tachometer?
