Thats BS! Yeah it's raining like crazy and this weekend looks bad but calling it "Rainbeck" means you just don't live here. 32 years here and at the show it's been good or great for most of that time. The regulars are all there and deal are ready to be found so just bring a umbrella or raincoat and kids stop by my space and pick out a free toy car or hess truck while they last (they are all used)

dropped off my trailer this morning and headed home, plan on getting there 6am tomorrow to unload. Fingers crossed the rain stays away, all I have is a small ez-up tent for protection. Plenty of vendors in line this morning to get in. Anyone need a pair of 55 buick century fenders or hood? Gotta go! :D

No ,its still rain beck. $350 bucks a night for a hotel room, everything and i mean everything in the car coral and vendors area is so over priced it's laughable. I will say that there are some very nice cars that show up buts its just not worth it,imo

Was there last year. There were a lot of people there that thought very highly of their parts, in fact they decided to keep them. Must be a regional thing. I sincerely didn't see many people carrying out, I think most were there to prove to themselves it wasn't winter.

  12. Great place for the show, but I do not go anymore, went three times and three times it rained. To far for me to gamble with weather.

  13. There both days rained out Friday, sold well today.

How can you bitch about a swap meet that is an hour and 15 minutes away? Missed the very first one, but I've made it all the rest. Bought everything I wanted to buy, just paid the guy, it was a crummy day weather wise, no need to chisel a guy with fairly priced stuff. Bob

Really $350 a night around here? that seems insane. Plenty of normal hotels around this area so they must be cheaper alternatives. I moved some stuff today, selling at basically give away prices just because it's all stuff that I don't need to take home. Hoping to do the same tomorrow, but I don't think Sundays are that great for selling.

Everyone that bought at my spot left happy. And the kids all got free toy cars or trucks. Will be there tomorrow and try to empty the rest of the stuff. I don't need a hotel room but I never heard of $350. rooms either. I live 3 miles away.

$350 a night for a room? I have been going to Rhinebeck for years. Just take Rt 199 over the Kingston-Rhinebeck Bridge and there are several national chain hotels, nowhere near $350.

We went to Pebble Beach last year and the room was far less than $350.00 a night. Bob

Mother nature was a real bitch this year, threw in the towel and left early today after it started raining AGAIN. Been there only the last 3 years selling but never had 3 dry days yet.
