Event Coverage Would there be any interest in a Wisconsin Hot Rod hundred?

congratulations on putting this together. I wish I could participate. I hope you all have a blast.

 

This week is it for pre-registration, currently sitting at 68. If you want to go and want a shirt and lunch, register this week.

You don't want to be like the shirtless kid at the ice cream truck watching his buddies eat their popsicles because he lost his money.

Hey guys Max Gearhead and Unshined 2 are talking about having a get together for all the hambers to meet and greet on the Friday afternoon/evening prior to the HRH. Anyone that wants to put a face to a name can contact them via pm for directions etc. I'm sure it will be a good time.

 

Just in case I signed up under my old HAMB name before my computer crashed, 50dodge 4x4 is Gene Koning, my wife will be tagging along, her name is Twyla.
We are leaving home Friday evening after we get off work for the 176 mile trip for the 100 mile cruise, we won't be able to make it for the meet & greet. Our car won't be hard to identify. see crappy picture. Gene

 

Count us in, we like to travel. Been to 8 LSRU's, did the Bayou Round-Up last year, going to the StrayKat500 next week, your supposed to Drive 'em, Right?

It'd be fun to do a hot rod 100 miles per hour down a 1/4 mile drag strip at the end of a hot rod 100 mile cruise. Call it a Hot Rod 200?

If I gotta do 100 mph after the 100 mile cruise, you better have that last stop someplace with a lot longer then a 1/4 mile run. I'm not sure the old 6 cylinder is capable of 100 mph....it feels pretty wound up and stressed at 85 mph, and it sure won't do that in a 1/4 mile.

I should get credit for driving 176 miles before the 100 mile cruise, and then my wife and I are doing a vacation after the cruise, and will do another 700 miles or so before we get home. My old ride wasn't built to drag race, it was built to cruise. Gene

 

You get a little credit, but for a few 176 miles is just getting warmed up....... 510 miles one way is currently the longest haul to get there. I'll be coming 480 or so one way.
