Photo of the power hammer and the bead roller I just finished making.
Power hammer is sort of a Dake copy but deeper and modified lower holder.

here's a couple i'm working on. the large one is a TM tech which i made the frame for. i made both short and long die posts for different reaches, and take either TM or CP lower dies. the smaller one is a CP type one custom build. i'm working on one more, an air powered power hammer. its a different approach, i'd like to test it thoroughly before posting. sorry for the bad pic.

Sometime in the late 1980's early 90's I met Fay Butler, he has been so much help over the years! Since then I've met or emailed so many great guys and gals in the metalshaping business / hobby. Even met Shane and Chris.....:D
So here are some pics of my junk, starting small with the SMV Baby Nibbler

There are lots of pics of these in pcs, repairs being made, tooling, mods already on a few metalshaping sites.
Oh ya there is a power hammer, another pullmax head on a C-frame, a few pneumatic planishing hammers, guess I might need to make another post.

My power hammer is based on a Metalcrafter's kit with arms made by the late Stan Carter, clutch, brake, foot pedal design is Ed Thomas' with help from Dan Pate. Ed and Luke aka Monster helped put it together. Bob Steffens came up with the fix to a lower die holder problem that Metalcrafters have, oh so simple too!

Do to the low ceilings in my shop a old chicken shed 100 by 50. it needed the motor offset instead on top.

Ed testing with Luke looking on. There is a little tweaking to these machines, and luckily Ed has mastered the tuning which save me lots of headaches, let me do more fun things like learning to use real wrenches to tighten up the bolts:eek: I use a 6" cresent wrench on the pullmaxes, well that don't cut the mustard on a power hammer. So far about 20 people have came by for a visit to run the hammer. It works well! very aggressive shrinker! More dies need to be made, but these damn shoulders are giving me fits can't work the Bridgeport:mad:

That's awesome! I need a reciprocating hammer real bad. Not sure why I'm so intimidated about building one.

I am using a 1HP Baldor motor. The whole thing is .25" plate. I've shrank 14ga with no issues.

Own your own American Made Baileigh Power Hammer for under 10k That's right metal shapers, we are releasing the brand new PH-28HD for the introductory price of $9,995 for a limited time. Why you ask? Because we love metal shapers! ------ From the mind of our lead design engineer @chris_rusch who shares our intense passion for metal shaping, metal shapers and the entire metal shaping community. The PH-28HD Power Hammer was designed right here in Wisconsin to do one thing, and one thing only.…hit….and hit hard. With a hit up to 75% harder than the MH-19 Power Hammer, this beast will move metal faster than just about every hammer its size. Extremely affordable and American Made!
Quick release, indexable tooling for immediate tooling changes. Variable speed, electronic controlled via foot pedal. Raised work height so you can actually see the “hit mark.” 3 stroke speeds. An extremely innovative chain and sprocket scaled coil spring mechanism that is similar to our larger hammer MH-37HD.
Deep panel shrinking and stretching is now obtainable to nearly everyone in the market! Stay tuned for more details as we unleash this monster this weekend at our March metal shaping class….BAM! #gamechanger #baileigharmy#baileighpowerhammer #metalshaping#powerhammer #baileighmetalshaping#yoder

I am helping clean out a shop of a good friend. He has a large Yoder hammer just like this one pictured. We are having a difficult time finding comps on them. We are trying to help out the family. There have been many interested but we do not have a baseline. Any suggestions. We are gathering all of the tooling that had been made for the unit over the years. Help!
