  14. I never liked the look of a 33-34 ford dash...mine is now a 34 top rail welded to a 34 chevy bottom half with a Champion insert. 34dashpainted1.jpg 34dash.JPG

ThIs is a great thread. Some really nice dashes. Very creative ideas.

  16. The dash in the Ranch Wagon.

This is what a original '54 dash looks like.

Hammered both ends of the dash to add the air ducts & filled in the heater controls to add one of the vents.

I also deleted the idiot lights and added gauges.

The headlight switch & wiper switch was relocated on ether side of the column where the original fresh air vents were. HRP

I may have posted this before, and have seen this setup a number of times on here before, but here is the dash I did for my 31 roadster. It is a Brookeville 32 style dash for a model A opened up to accept the aluminum insert panel. I think it came out pretty good. The ignition key is the round knob directly under the speedo. I ground down the key and threaded a matching knob onto it so the ignition wouldn't look so out of place. I am also going with a matching column mounted tach. Here are a couple in process shots and a finished shot.

All finished except for switch bezels. I have posted pics of this on a number of threads. I love the look and enjoy it every time I drive the car.

Can someone tell me what this is out of? I was told a 36 Olds when I bought it, but now I'm not so sure.

  30. A radio should fit that rectangular hole. I did exactly the same thing to get a radio in mine because Ford thought it was so cool to make that goofy shape that nothing else will fit except for those $500 radios that are currently on the market.
