Fred, now while you are out of commission is the time to document the parts and progress so far, research more and plan out future stuff in greater detail.
Kind of like how you need to roll out the project every once in a while, stand back and just look things over.
Brake line routing, electrical components and locations, reading up on fiberglass prep and paint, etc.
    Keep the motivation up, brother!

Well it can run in the high tens over the quarter, and I have seen the fronts about 5 foot in the air on a hard launch at Meremere, so I have respect for Bruce and his two toned bucket. Actually it reminds me of the first version of Freds bucket (before the Police car shortened it)

Bruce moved up to the altered in the background and has that running around 8.2 over the quarter.

Well, I'm back. I need a couple fittings and I'll run the brake lines. I'm catching up on some bills, so it'll be a little while. I missed you guys and thanks for the kind words.

I'm pretty sure those are 16 inch Early Ford wheels, but that's all...

Wow Larry when did you turn into me? It does always shock me what some people think is beautiful let alone acceptable.
I for one don't mind the look of the red T above. Fred could do a lot worse building something like it.

    Thanks for your help. Nevermind

  23. Was that a trick question regarding the wheel size? Good to some life on here.:) JW

  24. By the space around the 90 fin drum and the style of tire, I'd say they are 15 inch rims. Ford centers, reversed on some fairly wide, maybe 7" (even 8" in the rear) rims, from the look of them.

Backs look like 10 or 12 to me, fronts 7 or 8 reversed....?

Well, got up early this morning and ran brake lines from M/C to the front and rear. That Nicopp brake line is the TITS! First I did some measuring and left a few inches extra, in case my flaring skills weren't up to the task. The Nicopp line flared like butter!

So, I installed the tube nuts to the rear line, bent it where needed, installed the line clamps and installed it. I then did the same to the front line, but I need a "T" fitting for the front cross line, so I'll wait for it and the rear flex line before flaring the line.

    Pics upon completion.

I ran the front line over the motor mount. I may change this.

Well, the sections coming off the M/C could have been a little better, but I didn't have a tube bender, so I did it by hand. I know I have a bender.... some where. It'll show up when I'm done.:)

Oh....... a HUGE thanks to "Tim_with_a_T"! He donated the nicopp brake line for my build. Sorry it took so long to give credit where it's certainly due.
