Wish I had a picture. When my boys were in High School, their auto shop teacher took the kids to the Winternational in Pomona. Oh when Rick got to his car to go home, there wasn't a spot on his car that wasn't covered with a sticker or decal....Boy was he pissed. Took him half an hour to get enough stickers off to see the road...I'm still chuckling...

I recently sold my house of 30 years, my wife asked me what the heck was I doing taking the door off my old garage, let the new owner put on a new door. I said I am taking this with me and now it is awaiting its duty to be the new shop door. Took a lot of years to get this patina. IMG_2220.JPG

Looks like you have a Pee Wee Herman action figure - "Movie Theater " version from the position of his hand.

I carry some with me and every time I see a police car parked at a doughnut shop I stick one on their rear bumper. My best one so far was, Keep honking I'm reloading,

    Hello FVS,
Very cool kid's booster seat? It certainly is a traditional, car related, sticker plasted, on topic photo. Great photo and set up. I tried a sticker or two on our granddaughter's similar seat, they were boo boos from the other half.

But, back when my son was little, there were no booster seats, so I made one out of 2x4 redwood, coated it with polyurethane. it sat under his regular child safety seat so he could see out of the car. (no airbags, so the kids could sit in front an look out at the big world)

It has lasted up to now as a step stool for him to brush his teeth and 30 years after that time period, my grand daughter used it for a sturdy step stool to use the same sink. She also used it for a small play table when she was sitting on the ground. For my son, it was Moon eyeball stickers at first, but they rubbed off over time and usage.

upload_2017-4-22_5-48-43.png upload_2017-4-22_5-49-27.png Today, it sits under a wastebasket in the garage to make the throw-in, tall, basket easier to toss in various items, mostly car related left overs, etc. 39 years of use and memories...But, it still serves a purpose...Stickers? No way in this household if the other half sees it around...styling, etc...

I still get a lot of stickers when I can and they all go to the various grandchildren and neighborhood kids. I am sure the local teachers get tired of seeing car stickers on their school notebooks...nothing has changed in 62 years of school notebooks !

Good one Unclean! Something similar a decade or 2 back, no stickers on me, but I had a black marker and blacked-out the "C" on a "Click it or ticket"........on a police car.

The OP posted about stickers from car shows. Stickers are usually advertisements from vendors or manufacturers. Never been to a car show where they handed out stickers. Usually at a car show they give you some type of a dash plaque. Had a bag with over 200 dash plaques which I immediately sold on the HAMB Classifieds right after listing them.

  28. Generally just throw them in a drawer never to be seen again. I did pick up a 50th Anniversary MOKAN sticker back in 2012. I just put it on the rear window of the '29 yesterday. Happened to find it in that drawer mentioned earlier and was like "man that's a cool sticker".

I've been sticking them to the never ending sports schedule fridge magnets that show up in the mail and trimming to size.

Now I've got a ton of hotrod magnets instead of stickers

20170422_100435.jpg I frame dash plaques and hat pins. My earliest dash plaque is 1970. If I put all of my hat pins on a hat it would weigh ten pounds!
