Are you using Photoshop to do post-production editing? This is a great example. Very nice touch.

 

Excellent work as always Dan! I tend to hang back for a while so I can observe more pics when I get here - the drawback is, my poor "like" finger is sore now!

It was definitely one of mine too, Jimmy as was the other more finished red 41 Buick up with all the all stars - always liked them. I wish either of them would have been set up so I could have gotten what I consider a decent shot.

 

Thanks FlyFisher. I'm glad you liked that one. I use Photoshop in combination with a bunch of add ins for most of my images. In this case, I first cleaned up the picture - removed parts of 2 people, got rid of the entry tag on the car. The base image is an HDR combination of 2 images. with an overlay of one of them on top of the HDR version for part of the car to make sure it did not look muddy or show reflections. I then made a toned, lighter B&W version of the whole image using SilverEfex Pro in this case. After that, erased through that so that the car itself is showing in color, although the color is black in this case.

 

Thanks Dave. I am certainly glad you found the thread and jumped in even now. It is not close to over yet. Since I do have an actual job, I am not getting these done all that fast - certainly not as fast as I would like to.
