I have 2 white cars. I use the good ole Chevy Ralley wheel on both. lets not get into how much we hate the ralley. I can spend 10.00 bucks and change the whole look of the cars buy changing the color of the wheel, with 5 cans of Wally world paint. I also have 4 different sets of caps to fit. I also have a set of OLD 5 spokes that i swap out. I need to see some images of wheels on white cars to get some ideas. So far wheel color's have been black, red ,orange. I don't mean to step on anyone's toes but i do not care for A lite colored wheel/mag on on a white car. Just personal preference. Just looking for some ideas.please. I have thought about the Rocket wheel/halibrand knock/off in the gold color/Dow 7.Oh yeah cars are 52 chevy P.U and my old 59 el camino

  2. The only white vehicles I have are late model, one has aluminum wheels and the other has chrome spokes.

My go to color is black although on a GM Rally that original color looks best to me.

Anyway no help but maybe this'll prime the pump.

Ralleys well they are what they are. I prefer them that factory ardent color with top hat caps and rings. To me they look best like that and look pretty good on anything. With that said, they look wonderful on 72 Monte Carlos.
White can be such an easy color. With white I prefer black, red and chrome. Ralleys on a white car? The factory ardent/silver with top hats and rings.

I don,t want to limit it to just the rallys,I am open to other type wheels.
I guess I'm just looking for the contrast of the wheels,or i guess the flow of the car/wheel combo.Did i say that right?

I like chrome OEM stock type 60s steel wheels with the nubs no caps...Amercan Grafity. With black walls or a small letter tire like Wide Ovals would look spectacular on either vehicle. Black steel wheels with a no name dog dish would look good too , especially on the AD chevy truck.
A good subltle look I had on my white 62 Galaxie was the stock full caps on red wheels. That little circle of red wheel between the cap and tire really set it off and looked great with a white car.

Cragars or real style chrome reverse (no caps) are a couple of the first ones that come to mind if not considering grey spoke mags but width, dish, backspace, tires size and style etc, etc, etc within any certain style of wheel tire combo, are just as important......a wide set of cragars might look great on a car where narrow ones might look like crap or vice/versa.

Your 63 is the first car I thought of when I saw this thread, just wanted you to respond first. I love this car.

I can't argue a bit. My favorite wheel on a light colored car.

It's getting close to being done. The red wheels are not for the red wheel hot rod history but are red to match the interior.

The wheels are 15 x 7 Wheel Smith and tires are Diamond Back with stock hubcaps. What you may not be able to see are a couple of thin stripes on the wheels. Before it is over there will be a pair of coach lines on the sides.
