You're welcome georgeg and thanks for checking out my images. Thanks Dino 64 - there will be more B&W versions coming too. Thank you Tim and also for referencing Ryno. I will see the car and hopefully get more and better pics of it in Dewey in May.

You're welcome and thanks Dennis(383deuce). I don't think I did get a decent one of your car - at least not be my standards. First day, I didn't think the high glare light did it justice and second it was always a zoo up there where it was parked every time I was in the area. I do think Tom got a few and I'm sure Travis did too. I have a tendency not so shoot cars I already have a good shot of from prior events if I can't get another even better one. Unlike Tom and Travis, I'm not really trying for full coverage of the event. You'll also notice some of the Hilton/Lombardi rods and Kontinentals missing from my "coverage" too and that is also because I have absolutely killer images of them from prior years and wasn't going to beat them for the most part this year.

Here is RoadFarmer's Showtime 55 being prepped at Austin Speed Shop the Wednesday before the show.

I'd say that as much as we enjoy seeing photos of some of the better known cars that make a lot of events one of the prime reasons many of us look forward to your coverage is that we do indeed see fresh cars in the coverage. Still haven't figured out how you keep people's butts out of the photos though unless you have a couple of helpers with cattle prods tagging along.

Thanks Mr48chev. As far as keeping people and other things out, part of it is patience, part of it is editing and in some case as you can see from many of the pics, I simply lower my standards and let it go anyway. The Saturday of the show was one of the best I have ever seen from a weather/lighting/car standpoint, but insanely crowded, so in many cases, I have skipped cars that I really liked but never had an acceptable shot at.

I always love this car and never seem to get what I consider the ideal shot of it. This is just a snapshot, so I apologize for that. I did try to follow it around, but it ended up parking in a really not so great place.

  25. Yeah, he always parks that sweet thing in the wooded area every year. I still take pics of it anyway - every year.

I followed him back there but he was partially in the shade when I was there. I did get a decent shot of him back there in 2010 or 11.

Dan, it was good to meet & chat w/ you for a few on Saturday afternoon. (I was the one that asked you about the viking hat. LOL)

And as luck would have it, you took a picture of my car- the black Thunderbird in the trees. Post #77 above. I guess I parked in a good spot, as you & Tom both shot it. I always look thru the threads to see if I see it in the background. Very cool to see it front & center!

Dan- It was nice to finally meet and talk with the guy whose photos I've always really enjoyed! I love the shot of my engine you got! (the Hot Rod Lincoln)

Jeff, I liked where you parked it...clean background, and the light was just superb when I happened upon it.
